REGISTRATION
Pre-Registration via Bikereg.com is required for this event. No race-day registration. All registration ends at noon on Friday, Oct.24 . $25 for licensed riders, non licensed add $10 for one day USCF license available at registration. Start list will be available online after registration closes. If you are unable to register online, please contact the event contact below. Unlicensed riders who purchase 1-day licenses may race in their age groups or as Cat. 5 but will not be eligible for medals.
START TIMES
The Official Time Trial Start Time List will be available on this website no later than 8 am on Saturday. Email notification will be sent to all registrants as soon as it is available.
NUMBER PICKUP
Number pickup will be
from 7:45 am until 1/2 hour before your official start time. Start times will be posted here on Saturday, Oct. 25. Ready-to-sign entry forms will be available for all registered riders. The first rider off will be at 9:00 am. One-Day Licenses and Annual Licenses will need to be purchased at number pickup on race day. Annual memberships
will be available to non licensed riders. Riders with one-day licenses not
eligible for championship medals.
COURSE
The time trial will be held on the Natchez Trace Parkway , starting at the Rocky Springs campground. The course will be out-and-back, initially heading South. Rocky Springs is located on the Natchez Trace 54 miles northeast of Natchez, MS and 30 miles southwest of Clinton, MS (which is just west of Jackson on I-20). The course consists of low, graded rolling hills with good to excellent road surfaces. Course will be open to traffic.
DIRECTIONS
Access the Natchez Trace Parkway from Jackson approximately 10 miles west on I-20 at exit 34 South. From I-55, take exit 72 (Crystal Springs / Utica) West on Highway 27 for 18 miles to Utica, then turn left at West Main Street (becomes Duke Rd. and Fisher Ferry Rd.) 8.3 mi. to the Natchez Trace Parkway SOUTH. Head South on the Natchez Trace another 4.4 mi. to the Rocky Springs Campground. [SEE MAP]
RACE NOTES
Approved helmets must be worn.
Jerseys must have sleeves. Course will be closed to traffic but keep your head
up at all times. Occasionally a stray car may wonder onto the course. Please be
on time to register. We are lucky enough to have road closure but must be
finished within a reasonable time. Parking will be available on the shoulder of
Hwy 51. Medals will be given out to the first 3 in each category. Riders will
go off at 1 minute intervals. NO DRAFTING! All riders must wear approved helmets at all times while on bikes. MP3 players or other music devices with earphones or ear pieces are NOT allowed. Although traffice on the road is usually light, and we anticipate police assistance with most thru traffic, there may still be some traffic on the course. Please be alert at all times for motorists on the course, obey all traffic laws and all directions from police officers.
