Welcome to the New Orleans Bicycle Club!
The NOBC is dedicated to promoting bicycling, with the emphasis on bicycle
racing, in the Greater New
Orleans area. The NOBC was founded in 1968, and remains at the
forefront of competitive cycling activity. The club is a member of the USA Cycling, and promotes bicycle races and events throughout the year. The
NOBC represents a wide range of cyclists, from beginning Juniors to seasoned
Masters. We invite you to become a member of this unique family.
Training Camp Pics
A few photos from the recent NOBC training camp, held at Natchez State Park in Mississippi. Team members put in a long ride on Saturday morning, followed by a training and nutrition seminar by Bob Monahan and, of course, the traditional movie night.
Memorial Day Ride
A number of NOBC members turned out for the annual Memorial Day city ride, led by Kenny Bellau. The group rode out to Chalmette Battlefield, stopped at the World War II museum for a fascinating chat with one of the
WWII Vets, and finished up with coffee and beignets at Morning Call in the old City Park Casino. After a busy weekend of racing and training, the Monday trek through the city made for a nice recovery ride.
